This page is a reference index of every CM Punjab scheme specifically designed for or prioritising women — covering business loans, employment, child grants, health programmes, and housing schemes, with links to each application guide.
Financial Support and Business Schemes
Asan Karobar Scheme: Interest-free or low-interest business loans up to Rs. 5,000,000 for small businesses — explicitly open to women, including home-based businesses (tailoring, food processing, beauty services, tutoring). Women applicants are specifically encouraged. Apply at aasankarobar.punjab.gov.pk. Home address can serve as business address for home-based enterprises.
Apni Chhat Apna Ghar: Women can be the primary applicant for the subsidised housing loan at 3–5% annual interest. Some phases reserve a portion of the housing loan pool for female primary applicants or offer slightly preferential terms for women.
Employment and Education Schemes
Female Ambassador Programme: Paid community outreach role for educated women (Intermediate or above) — stipend Rs. 20,000–35,000/month. Work in your own Union Council or nearby area, promoting government schemes to other women. Apply through the PITB portal during active recruitment. No previous work experience required.
Honhaar Scholarship: Female students meeting the 70%+ marks and income criteria are equally eligible — the scholarship has no gender preference, but female applicants in some phases get slight tiebreaker preference for limited quota positions.
E-Bike Scheme: Female students and working women are eligible. Many phases specifically reserve e-bike units for female applicants. An electric motorcycle removes a significant barrier to women's economic mobility in Punjab cities.
Family Support and Children's Education
Dhee Rani Programme: Cash grant to the mother at the birth of a daughter. Administered through BISP channels. Register your daughter's birth and link the B-Form to your BISP household record to claim.
Zewar-e-Taleem: Monthly stipend deposited on a card in the mother's name, conditional on daughters maintaining school attendance. BISP-registered families in Punjab are the primary recipients — check 8171.bisp.gov.pk for your household's eligibility.
Ration Card and Nigahban Card: Food subsidy programmes primarily managed through the mother/female head of household's CNIC. Monthly subsidised flour, oil, and pulses accessible at designated stores.
Health and Solar Energy Schemes
Sehat Card Plus: Free hospitalisation up to Rs. 1,000,000/year per family — covers maternity services including normal delivery, C-section, and neonatal care. Every Punjab household can check and activate at sehatcard.punjab.gov.pk. Particularly valuable for maternal health.
Roshan Gharana Solar: Free solar panel installation for low-income households consuming under 100 units/month. BISP-registered women headed households are prioritised in many distribution phases.
Clinic on Wheels: Free mobile medical care including maternal health, antenatal checks, iron/folate supplementation, and family planning advice at village-level visits. Find your district schedule at pha.punjab.gov.pk.
Application and Eligibility Problems
Yes — Asan Karobar includes home-based businesses. Tailoring, food making, beauty work, or any income-generating activity from home qualifies. Present evidence of your home-based work (even a few customer receipts, photos of your workspace, or a letter from a Union Council) when the field officer visits.
Zewar-e-Taleem eligibility is checked under the mother's CNIC, not the father's. Check 8171.bisp.gov.pk with the mother's CNIC specifically. If it still doesn't show, visit the nearest BISP desk to link the daughters' B-Forms to the household record.
Frequently Asked Questions
The Sehat Card Plus is the most universally accessible — check and activate at sehatcard.punjab.gov.pk immediately if you haven't already, as it requires no application and covers all Punjab households. After that, BISP registration unlocks Zewar-e-Taleem, Ration Card, and Dhee Rani automatically for eligible households.
The CM Punjab Sehat Card Plus and food subsidy schemes cover all female-headed households including those headed by widows. Some Asan Karobar phases have reserved quotas for widows. The Punjab Bait-ul-Mal also has specific support for destitute women — contact your district Bait-ul-Mal office.
Yes — women who own agricultural land in their name (Fard shows their name as owner) can apply for the Green Tractor Programme on equal terms with male applicants.
Most E-Bike Scheme phases include a dedicated female quota — a portion of bikes reserved exclusively for female applicants. The female-specific category typically has a separate application track. Check the current phase announcement at ebike.punjab.gov.pk.
