JazzCash supports bill payment for all 11 Pakistani DISCOs and K-Electric — select your DISCO under Bills → Electricity, enter the 14-digit reference number, and the app displays the exact amount due before you confirm payment.
Make Sure Your JazzCash Account Has Enough Balance
Open the JazzCash app on your phone. The home screen shows your wallet balance. Your JazzCash balance must cover the full bill amount — you can't make partial payments through JazzCash's bill payment feature. If your balance is short, top up first:
To top up: tap "Add Money" on the JazzCash home screen. You can add money from your bank account (if linked), from a Jazz retailer with cash, or via another JazzCash wallet transfer. Bank transfers typically post instantly for major banks like HBL, MCB, and UBL.
If your JazzCash account is unregistered (a basic account), your daily transaction limit may be lower than a large electricity bill — particularly in summer when AC bills can exceed Rs. 20,000 for larger households. Upgrade to a full Level 1 account by completing CNIC verification in-app to access higher limits.
Navigate to Bill Payments in the JazzCash App
From the JazzCash app home screen, tap "Pay Bills" — it's one of the main menu icons, usually in the middle row of the home screen dashboard. On older versions of the app, look for "Utility Bills" or "Bills & Payments."
The Bill Payments section opens a list of utility categories. Tap "Electricity". You'll see a list of all supported DISCOs and utility companies: LESCO, MEPCO, FESCO, IESCO, GEPCO, PESCO, HESCO, QESCO, SEPCO, TESCO, and K-Electric are all available. Tap the one that matches your bill header.
Enter Your Reference Number and Confirm the Bill
After selecting your DISCO, a reference number field appears. Enter your 14-digit reference number exactly as printed on your bill. Tap "Fetch Bill" or "Get Bill" — JazzCash connects to the DISCO's system in real time and pulls your current outstanding amount.
The screen now shows: your consumer name, billing month, and the exact amount due. Verify the consumer name and amount before proceeding — this is your confirmation that you've entered the correct reference number. If the name shown doesn't match your household, stop and recheck the number.
Tap "Pay" and you'll reach a confirmation screen showing the deduction from your JazzCash balance. Review the amount one more time, then tap "Confirm". The payment processes immediately.
Save Your JazzCash Payment Receipt
After a successful payment, JazzCash displays a receipt screen with a unique Transaction ID. Screenshot this screen immediately — it's your proof of payment. JazzCash also sends a confirmation SMS to your registered number, which serves as a secondary record.
The payment posts to your DISCO account within 30 minutes to 4 hours for most DISCOs. Your next bill will show the payment as credited and the outstanding balance as zero. If the bill still shows unpaid after 48 hours, call your DISCO's helpline (118) with the JazzCash Transaction ID — they can manually confirm the payment on their end.
For Karachi residents paying K-Electric: KE payments through JazzCash process the same way. KE's own portal is faster for same-day confirmation, but JazzCash works reliably as well.

When Things Go Wrong
Check your JazzCash balance — it may have been just short of the bill amount. Also check whether a deduction was made despite the failure message: look at your JazzCash transaction history immediately. If balance was deducted but the bill didn't post, call JazzCash helpline at 111-657-457.
All 11 major DISCOs and K-Electric are supported by JazzCash. If you can't find yours, look under alternative names — SEPCO may appear as 'SEPCO (Sukkur)' or TESCO under its full name. Search by typing the first few letters.
Your JazzCash transaction PIN is 4 digits — it's not your mobile network PIN. If you've forgotten it, tap 'Forgot PIN' on the PIN entry screen to reset via your registered CNIC and phone number.
Some DISCOs (particularly HESCO, QESCO, SEPCO) can take up to 72 hours to reflect JazzCash payments. Keep your JazzCash Transaction ID — call the DISCO helpline with it after 72 hours if still not posted.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. JazzCash doesn't restrict you to paying your own bill — you can enter any valid reference number and pay any DISCO account. Many people pay family members' or rental property bills this way.
JazzCash charges a small convenience fee for utility bill payments — typically Rs. 5–15 depending on the bill amount and DISCO. The fee is shown on the confirmation screen before you finalise the payment.
JazzCash's daily payment limits depend on your account verification level. A fully verified Level 1 account can transact up to Rs. 50,000 per day. For bills above this, pay through your bank app directly or visit a bank branch.
JazzCash doesn't currently offer a built-in bill auto-payment scheduler for electricity bills. You need to manually initiate each payment. For automatic payments, use your bank's standing instruction feature or K-Electric's own auto-debit service if you're a KE consumer.
Yes — if you pay before the disconnection notice deadline and the payment posts to your DISCO account in time, disconnection is prevented. JazzCash payments post within 30 minutes to 4 hours for most DISCOs, which is fast enough to beat most disconnection processing times.
