Pakistan's electricity bill is calculated on a progressive slab structure — the more units you consume, the higher the per-unit rate for the excess. This calculator estimates your monthly WAPDA/DISCO bill using the current NEPRA residential tariff slabs, then adds GST, FPA, and fixed charges to give you the all-in amount.

How to use: Enter the units (kWh) shown on your last paper bill or from the DISCO portal. For a more accurate result, use your actual monthly consumption rather than guessing.

Enter your monthly units consumed to estimate your LESCO/MEPCO/FESCO electricity bill based on current NEPRA residential tariff slabs.

Based on NEPRA approved tariff. Actual bill includes fixed charges, taxes (GST, FPA, QTA), and TV licence fee. This estimate is for guidance only.

How to Read Your Result

The estimate shows three components: energy charges (the slab-based tariff on your consumed units), fixed charges (a flat monthly fee plus TV licence), and taxes (GST at 17% plus FPA — the Fuel Price Adjustment that changes monthly). Your actual bill may differ slightly based on NEPRA's exact current FPA rate and any arrears or adjustments. Use this as a planning tool — for the exact figure, check your DISCO's online portal with your reference number.

Frequently Asked Questions

Three common reasons: your bill includes arrears from a previous month that wasn't fully paid; your consumption crossed into a higher slab partway through the month; or the FPA for your billing month was higher than the rate used in this calculator. The FPA changes monthly — check your actual bill's FPA line.

Residential consumers who use 200 units or below per month qualify for 'protected' subsidised tariff rates. Above 200 units in any month, you're classified as 'non-protected' and pay the full commercial slabs for all units. Our protected vs non-protected guide explains the full impact.

K-Electric uses a different tariff structure from WAPDA DISCOs. This calculator is based on NEPRA's WAPDA residential tariff. For a K-Electric estimate, check ke.com.pk directly with your KE account number.

The effective per-unit cost depends on your consumption tier. Low-consumption (under 100 units/month) consumers pay Rs. 7–10 per unit on energy alone; high consumers (300+ units) pay Rs. 22–27 per unit on the upper slabs. Add GST and FPA and the all-in cost for most urban users is Rs. 30–45 per unit.
