A duplicate SNGPL or SSGC gas bill can be downloaded as a PDF directly from the gas company's online portal using the consumer number — the PDF is an exact copy of the original bill accepted for payment at all channels.

4 Steps to Download Your Duplicate Gas Bill as PDF

Open sngpl.com.pk or ssgc.com.pk, enter your consumer number, view the bill, use browser Print → Save as PDF — or use the My SSGC app for a cleaner formatted download.

Step 1

Access the Gas Company Portal With Your Consumer Number

Go to your gas company's online bill portal — sngpl.com.pk for SNGPL consumers or ssgc.com.pk for SSGC consumers. Navigate to the bill inquiry section. Enter your gas consumer number and submit.

Your current bill loads on screen — this is effectively your duplicate bill. The portal shows the same information as your original paper bill: consumer name, billing month, meter readings, gas consumed, charges breakdown, and amount due. It's not a "copy" of the original — it's live data from the gas company's database, which is even more current than a printed duplicate.

Step 2

Save the Bill as PDF Using Your Browser

With your gas bill displayed on screen, use your browser's print function:

On desktop (Chrome): Press Ctrl+P (Windows) or Cmd+P (Mac). In the print dialog, change the Destination from your printer to "Save as PDF." Click Save, choose your download folder, and the bill saves as a PDF.

On mobile (Android Chrome): Tap the three-dot menu, select "Share" then "Print," then select "Save as PDF" from the printer list. Or tap "Share" and choose "Print" then save.

On iPhone (Safari): Tap the Share button (box with arrow), scroll down, and select "Print." In the print preview, use a two-finger expand gesture to get the full-page view, then tap the Share button in the preview to save as PDF.

Step 3

Use the My SSGC App for Instant PDF Duplicate (SSGC Only)

If you're an SSGC consumer, the My SSGC app offers a more reliable duplicate bill download than the browser method. After logging in with your consumer number:

Go to "My Bills" or "Billing History." Select the billing month you need. Tap "Download Bill" or the PDF icon. The app generates a properly formatted PDF duplicate instantly and saves it to your phone's Downloads folder.

The SSGC app PDF includes an official formatting header that browser-printed bills sometimes lose — making it more suitable for official submissions such as visa applications or bank documentation that require recognisable utility bill format.

Step 4

Request a Formal Duplicate from the Service Centre

If you need a stamped, certified duplicate gas bill — for court submissions, formal verification, or any authority that specifically requires an original document rather than a digital copy — visit your gas company's service centre:

SNGPL: Visit any SNGPL Regional Office or Service Centre with your CNIC and consumer number. Request a formally issued duplicate bill for the required month. SNGPL typically charges a small administrative fee (Rs. 50–100) for formally issued paper duplicates and can usually print them while you wait.

SSGC: Visit any SSGC Customer Service Centre in Karachi or another city with CNIC and consumer number. SSGC's service centres are located across Karachi and in major cities throughout Sindh and Balochistan.

When Things Go Wrong

Gas bill PDF printing blank or missing charge breakdown

Some gas portal bill pages render charges in an iframe or table that doesn't print cleanly. Try: right-click on the bill content → Print Frame (Chrome desktop). If that fails, take a full scrolling screenshot using your phone's screenshot tool instead of PDF.

Need a gas bill older than 3 months but portal only shows current bill

Gas portals typically only show the most recent bill. For older bills, visit the SNGPL service centre or SSGC service centre with your CNIC — they can print historical bills from their system for up to 24 months back.

My SSGC app Download Bill button not working

Update the app to the latest version. If still not working, check available storage on your phone — a full storage prevents PDF downloads. Alternatively use the browser method on the SSGC website.

Service centre says there's a fee for duplicate bills

SNGPL and SSGC charge a small administrative fee (Rs. 50–100) for formally issued paper duplicates from the service centre. Browser PDF downloads from the portal are always free.

Frequently Asked Questions

For most practical purposes yes — visa applications, bank KYC, tenancy references, and utility bill verification. For legal proceedings requiring a certified/stamped original, visit the SNGPL service centre for a formally issued copy.

If you were the registered consumer, you may be able to request historical bills. If the account was in someone else's name, you won't have access — the service centre requires identity verification.

SNGPL has been rolling out email billing in some urban areas. Register at sngpl.com.pk or call 1199 to request email billing for your consumer number. Once registered, each month's bill arrives in your inbox automatically.

Most embassies require: consumer name matching your ID, property address, billing month (recent, typically within 3 months), and the official company letterhead/logo. Browser PDFs from official portals contain all these elements.

Through the My SSGC app and service centres, SSGC can typically provide bills for the past 24 months. Older records may require a formal request with justification.
