Jazz SMS packages provide a fixed number of text messages at a flat price — particularly useful for users who send government service SMS codes (8171, 8300, 668) or bank OTPs and want a lower per-SMS rate than the standard tariff.
| Package | SMS (On-Net) | SMS (Off-Net) | Price | Code | Validity |

| Weekly SMS Bundle | 5,000 | 500 | Rs. 20 | *101*2# | 7 days |
| Monthly SMS Bundle Popular | 15,000 | 1,500 | Rs. 50 | *101*3# | 30 days |
Check Your Current SMS Balance
If you've an active SMS bundle, you can check its remaining messages by dialing
*1111# and selecting "My Packages." The screen will show each active bundle
separately — look for the one labeled SMS or the combined bundle if you've a multi-service
offer. You can also send a blank SMS to 1221 for a text response showing
your remaining SMS count.
If you've never had an SMS bundle and you send a message, Jazz charges from your main balance at the standard per-SMS rate — which is significantly more expensive than any bundle. Even a basic daily SMS package is worth it if you send more than 10 messages a day.
Select a Jazz SMS Package
Jazz SMS bundles fall into three categories: SMS-only packages (pure SMS with no data or call minutes), SMS + Calls bundles, and all-in-one packages that include data, calls, and SMS together. If you primarily use WhatsApp for messaging, an SMS-only bundle may not be your best value — consider a combined package instead.
For users who need traditional SMS — sending messages to bank accounts, government portals (like 8171 for BISP), or business alerts — a dedicated SMS bundle is often the cleanest option. The table above lists the active standalone SMS packages with their codes. Prices don't include applicable taxes.
Activate via Dial Code or Jazz World App
Dial the code for your chosen SMS package (e.g., *101# for the daily
bundle) and press Call. You'll receive a confirmation message within seconds. For monthly
packages, the Jazz World app's "My Packages" section is more reliable, especially if
you're activating for the first time and want to see the exact amount that will be deducted
before confirming.
SMS packages activate instantly. You can send a test SMS right after the confirmation
screen to verify messages are being counted against the bundle and not your main balance.
Send it to 1221 or another Jazz number and then check your remaining count again via
*1111#. If the count went down by 1, everything is working.
What to Do if Activation Doesn't Work
Your SMS bundle has likely expired. Dial *1111# to check. If the bundle isn't listed, reactivate it. Note that WhatsApp and other app messages never use your SMS bundle — only traditional SMS messages (green bubbles on iPhone, default messages app on Android) consume bundle SMS.
Try restarting your phone first. If the issue continues, check that you haven't been blocked by the recipient. For government SMS services like 8171, make sure your CNIC is properly formatted (13 digits, no dashes).
SMS package codes change periodically. Visit jazz.com.pk/packages for the current verified codes, or check through the Jazz World app which always shows live offers.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Messages sent to short codes like 8171 (BISP), 8300 (NADRA), or 668 (PTA SIM check) count as standard SMS and are deducted from your SMS bundle if one is active. If no bundle is active, they're charged at the per-SMS rate from your main balance.
Standard Jazz SMS bundles cover on-net (Jazz/Warid) and off-net (other Pakistani networks) SMS only. International SMS isn't included and will be charged separately at international SMS rates from your main balance.
Traditional SMS uses the cellular network and is counted against your SMS bundle. WhatsApp messages travel over the internet and use your data bundle (or mobile data). The two systems are completely separate — a WhatsApp message will never consume your SMS bundle allowance.
When your SMS bundle is exhausted, Jazz typically sends you a notification, and subsequent messages are charged from your main balance at the standard per-SMS rate. You can check at any time by dialing *1111# and looking at your package details.
